这首歌曲在网上流传比较广泛的有两个版本,介绍的是现场版,

因为现场版唱出了激情

很多朋友第一次听这首歌曲还是源于德国世界杯,

即现场版后面的 la~la~la部分.

或许它可以让我们重新回忆起去年那个世界杯的炎热夏日

1978年春天Gloria Gaynor在欧洲登台时不小心跌落舞台,使得Gloria Gaynor脊髓受损并卧病在床达9个月之久,加上复健期间母亲又去世,这许多的打击几乎让她崩溃.出院后,她写下这首证明自己战胜了怯懦,就如同歌词所写到的I`ve Got All My Life To Live ,I Will Survive一样.这首歌将Gloria Gaynor推上事业的巅峰.在1979年蝉连3周冠军白金曲,成为当时70年代Disco必备歌曲,法国世界杯足球队开赛歌选用此曲,最重要的是,此曲也被滚石评为100首最伟大的作品之一.(当你在跳迪的时候如果听到这个歌,你该知道或许它比你的年纪还大.)

关于I Will Survive的后现代宣言:
德国世界杯比赛每以十二码决胜负,现场都响起1978年美国黑人女歌手Gloria Gaynor主唱的的士高名曲,寄意比赛球队在最后阶段survive.这歌已成为跳舞经典,近年出现了大量翻唱版本,令它在新一代的地位压倒瑞典组合Abba的<Dancing Queen>.最具代表性的新版本来自乐队Hermes House Band 2000年录制的lalala mix(稍后我做链接).每当DJ在派对推出这歌,****** 每每出现,狂欢中途更有一个停顿变奏,其时现场忽然漆黑,情侣懂得这是湿吻时候(oh~).世界杯播放的版本,自然是lalala mix.在一个举世瞩目的国际体坛盛事,德国选择,除了获得年轻球迷共鸣,也隐隐传递了足球并非只是男性玩意的信息.

值得留意的是和另一首听众熟悉的<YMCA>(Party Mix),都被视为女权主义和同性恋运动的圣诗.前者讲述分手后的女性如何surv-ive,什么"I used to cry but now I hold my head up high"、"I'm not that chained up little person still in love with you",多少带有性别颠倒意识,十分师洋.后者由不少成员是同性恋者的组合Village People角色扮演演绎.被当成是走到"男"青年会的出柜之作.在七十年代,都算得上是颠覆传统社会结构的后现代先驱.
